Early this morning I sent every LNP Federal member this letter then I discovered the LNP cancelled their morning meeting about the youth ban on social media.
Who knew I had such influence?
This email letter included the Ultimatum from Jordan Dittloff & the Libertarians.
If you haven’t lobbied LNP members then why not? The pressure is building. Feel free to copy any bits from the below. To obtain emails just google “Federal parliament members contacts”. It takes you to a contact page where you can sort members by party affiliation and then copy and paste their emails. I had to do them individually and I have to say some of them didn’t even list emails on their profiles, so I had to do a separate search via their Facebook pages and individual websites.
An annoying process, but an important one.
“Dear Federal Liberal and National Party members of parliament,
Before you read this email you should watch this ultimatum from Jordan Dittloff a Libertarian candidate for the Senate in the upcoming federal election. If you don’t stare down this Youth Social Media ban I think you will be losing a number of your foot soldiers for this next election.

Once viewed now read the below, sent with sincerity and respect from an individual with a desire to see the LNP return to its Menzies roots.
I have only one question for all of you. What the hell are you thinking?
After such a promising start with your successful opposition to the voice referendum and then your courage in finally putting Nuclear power on the political table I thought we at last had a political party that could come to power with a large dose of common sense and more importantly, a suite of good policy intentions to help this country finally realise it’s potential.
I forgave you for allowing the Nationals to beat you to the punch in voicing your opposition to the absurd Voice referendum, I excused you for not rejecting the Paris Agreement and its net zero madness as I assumed you were managing the country’s expectations on climate with your Nuclear energy approach.
You had me seriously considering voting for the Liberal party for the first time since 2013, you had me and I would say millions of others at “No”.
I thought you had finally moved out of the Turnbull and Morrison years and had purged enough moderates from within your ranks to return to your traditional position of occupying the sensible centre of the political landscape.
Sadly through your recent attempt to ally yourself with the leftist agenda of censorship and control of our speech, it just reinforces to many of us that you haven’t yet learnt the valuable lessons required from losing government. Why on earth have you headed down the path of oppression and totalitarianism that is on full display in the UK where people are being charged and jailed simply for expressing opinions?
Why are you choosing not to follow the example of Trump and his MAGA movement who instead of trying to censor speech have instead embraced it? Their amazing election victory was based largely on their teams’s appearance on podcasts, the use of Elon Musk’s X platform and things such as Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point campaign. His efforts on US college campuses, where Charlie Kirk and Vivek Ramaswamy engaged in discussion and debate with college students and through their intellect and depth of knowledge recruited young voters to the Republican party in record numbers.
They didn’t censor speech, they used it to educate, awaken and enlighten people to their policy platform and their cause. It was amazing to watch podcasts such as the Joe Rogan podcast, Steve Bannon’s War Room, Alex Jones’s InfoWars, and Tucker Carlson’s podcast show to name just a few. Trump himself appeared on over 100 podcast episodes in just two years with his most famous interview on the Joe Rogan podcast lasting three hours.
In doing this people were allowed to see Trump and his campaign team for hours on end, to not only discover their policies for the nation but to see who they were as people. What the American public saw and heard they liked. Just as importantly, it exposed the legacy media for the lying frauds that they have always been. It’s not just sidelined legacy media, it has made them irrelevant.
Their embrace of speech has overjoyed lovers of freedom and liberty across the globe and draws a sharp contrast to Western governments who have reached for the totalitarian weapon of choice; censorship.
The UK and Canada under their leftist leadership have ramped up their oppressive censorship approach and our Prime Minster and his ALP colleagues have been drawn to that approach like fleas to cattle dung in an outback paddock. This is not surprising considering their ties to socialist, Marxist and even communist dogma.
What is surprising is that the Liberal Party which was founded upon the principles of Menzies, which commenced with Menzies Forgotten People speech of 1942 can put themselves in such lockstep with this ALP government on the youth ban from social media. In a quote from that speech, Menzies states “If the new world is to be a world of men, we must be not pallid and bloodless ghosts, but a community of people whose motto shall be, “To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.”
How is this achieved through censoring speech and information? Whether that’s the speech of our youth or the wider community. How does the modern Liberal Party equate their current stance on removing access to speech and information for its youngest citizens to the above noble point from its founder?
Mr Dutton and you, his Liberal colleagues, should also reacquaint yourselves with Menzies’s speech to the Young Liberal Movement in 1960 where he asked them, “What is it we believe in?”
It’s a pertinent question and one that Menzies said that the Liberal Party continually needs to ask itself. The Liberal Party clearly states on their website the party’s values and beliefs, it also has a long history of politicians and members who before the Turnbull years fought for those values and beliefs in parliaments across the nation.
Sadly, since Malcolm Turnbull infested the federal party with his social democrat moderates, the Party has lost its way from the very beliefs and values that the party was founded upon. The Turnbull moderates are like a cancer and we all know what happens if you don’t eradicate a cancer from a healthy body. It’s not terminal yet, but it soon will be if it’s not addressed and this week you have a chance to start addressing it and in doing so returning the LNP to its original principles of freedoms and liberties for the individual.
So I ask each member of the Federal Parliamentary Liberal and National Partys what are you currently thinking with your current stance on censoring speech on social media? Before answering that question I also echo Menzie’s question, what is it that you believe in?
I put to you that you should take up the sword of political battle to fight for the values and beliefs that you have listed on your very own website and reverse your current course of direction. You should be the protectors of speech, not the controllers of it, you should proclaim Australian citizen’s liberties not restrain them, you should encourage debate and an exchange of ideas, not look to silence them, you should defend all speech even the speech with which you oppose. You should understand that you defeat it with better speech by shining a beacon of light upon it that magnifies reason and argument. Throw censorship back into the totalitarian cesspit it came from and instead, I challenge you to do the following.
Remove all potential inhibitors of our right to speech and opinion and that includes the ludicrous eSafety commission.
Recruit the brightest of minds and the best proponents of speech, liberty and freedom and write an Australian Bill of Rights and take it to the electorate at the next election and then a referendum and embed it deep into our constitution.
Then commit to defending it to your last breath as so many of our ANZAC forefathers did.
These rights need to apply to all Australian citizens. We want politicians out of our lives, we don’t need you to manage our lives and even worse those of our children. Support parents, do not try and replace them, allow parents to raise their children by putting in responsible frameworks within society defining what being a responsible citizen in our nation entails.
To Mr Dutton, I believe you are an honourable man, I believe you could be a good leader, but you have read the room horribly wrong on this one. For the sake of us all and for that of future generations, change your stance or move aside for somebody better. We are at a point in time where our nation is at a crossroads and we need leadership and an opposition that can restore this nation by choosing the correct path. The path you have chosen will take us down an Abyss of oppression.
Instead, follow the US example of Trump and his MAGA movement which drew a line in the political sand and resolutely stood its ground to achieve not just a resounding political victory, but one which will change history.
You had me and so many others at “No” after the Voice referendum and then went and lost you lost me with this censorship madness. If the party cannot resolve this, then I implore conservative members within the Liberal Party to resign from the Party that no longer reflects its former self. Resign and form a new conservative party just as Menzies did in the 1940’s.
This country desperately needs a proper right-of-centre political force that values liberties, freedoms, our history and culture along with other traditional conservative values. If the Liberal Party’s purpose is to only be a Labor-lite entity that cannot break itself free from focus groups and polling companies to fight with purposes for its beliefs then it is no longer fit for purpose to govern this nation.
The fact that you had four senators within your ranks who voted to support infants who survive abortion to be left alone to die a cold and lonely death gasping for breath in their tiny lungs, just demonstrates the decline of today’s Liberal party from the one founded over eighty years ago by Menzies.
Today’s modern Liberal Party seems to have lost its long-held respect for the two most important human rights, the right to speech and the right to life. If you as a conservative remain in a party that will not fight for these rights or has no capacity to fight for them, then you have only two options, change the party or walk away from it.
To achieve either of these will take some courage and effort. Will you fight for it or survive on a convenience just to gain and retain power?
As Menzies asked of his Liberal colleagues in 1960 “What do you believe in?”. We will soon find out, but it is you who will have to ultimately reflect on the answer you provide to that question.
A good start will be to defeat this Social Media Youth Ban bill that sits before you this week. Censorship cannot be the answer.
Yours sincerely
Bob Mann
